ストーリー
封建的な18世紀スペイン社会において、破天荒かつ進歩的な考えをもっていたフランシスコ・デ・ゴヤ。野心の強いゴヤは、宮廷画家になるため出世を目論んでいたい。妻・ホセーファや親友であるサパテールの助言には耳を傾けず、ゴヤは自分の信じる道を突き進み、権力に近づいていく。しかし写実的なヌードである［裸のマハ］を描いたことがスキャンダルとなり、さらに宮廷の策略に巻き込まれ毒を盛られたゴヤは聴力を失ってしまう…。

Francisco de Goya had an unprecedented and progressive idea in feudal 18th century Spain.
?Ambitious Goya scheme to become a court painter. He did not listen to the advice of his wife Josefa and his best friend Zapata. Then he goes the way he believes and gets closer to the reins of power.
